Gaming Publications

Publication Design, Art Direction, Layout and Typesetting, Visual Storytelling, Brand Development, Information Design

As a partner and the sole designer and art director for the Brass & Steel roleplaying game system, I led the development of the visual identity, layout, and user experience for a comprehensive series of gaming publications. This included a 173-page core rulebook, four 60+ page adventure modules, and a suite of game aids and reference materials. I was responsible for establishing the visual tone of the brand, designing detailed interior layouts, typesetting complex rule structures, and ensuring a consistent and immersive look and feel across all pieces. Balancing aesthetic appeal with clarity and usability was key, allowing players and game masters to easily navigate and engage with the content. This project reflects my ability to bring storytelling, structure, and style together in service of an interactive narrative experience.
